Brahm wins ‘Most Creative Marketing Campaign’ award for William Hill

Brahm has won the ‘Most Creative Marketing Campaign’ award for their work for bookmaker William Hill at the inaugural Betview Awards.

The awards, which reward and recognise the UK and ROI betting and gaming industry for outstanding achievement, ingenuity, innovation, sheer hard work and ultimately success, took place at the world-famous Dorchester Hotel in London and were hosted by BBC Sports Presenter, Claire Balding.

The award, which recognises the project or initiative which has engaged potential customers the most, was won for Brahm’s work on ‘Wanna Bet….?’, the experiential campaign for William Hill which was created exclusively for Scotland. The campaign aimed to speak to football fans in their own language, encouraging them to express their opinions on football and challenging them to put their money where their mouths are, in the same way their mates down the pub might do.

A key part of the ‘Wanna Bet….?’ campaign was the ‘Banter Booth’ which aimed to capture the excitement and passion of real fans in the build up to their big match. In exchange for their opinions, William Hill ambassadors gave away free bets and football coupons to help drive footfall to the nearest William Hill shop.

David Cooper, William Hill Retail Marketing Manager said; “This is a terrific accolade for the company. ‘Wanna Bet’ was designed to capture the passion of the Scottish football fan and harness the phenomenon of social media. North of the Border, football is almost a religion and we rolled out the ‘Wanna Bet’ booth at various football grounds where fans could have their fifteen minutes of fame by eulogising about their team and be captured on camera. The best clips made it on to the internet via williamhill.com and various social network sites. It proved a terrific driver to William Hill’s football business in Scotland.”

Robin Horsfield, Managing Partner at Brahm said: “We’re absolutely thrilled that our work has been recognised at such a prestigious award ceremony. The campaign was a massive success for William Hill and we look forward to providing more insightful, innovative projects for them in the future”.
